| Tetanus/diphtheria: Recommended every 5 to 10 years, regardless of destination. Poliomyelitis: Recommended booster for travel to developing countries. Influenza: Recommended annually for travelers who are at high risk. Measles: Recommended for all travelers born after 1956 who have not had measles or those who have not had a booster since 1980. Pneumococcal pneumonia:Recommended for all those at high risk for severe disease related to Steptococcus pneumoniae. |

| Hepatitis A: Recommended for all travelers to developing countries. Hepatitis B: Recommended for health care workers in areas of high prevalence of this illness. Typhoid: Recommended for travelers to developing countries where there is prolonged travel off the usual tourist routes or where there is anticipated exposure to impure water and unhygienic food.
