There were no minutes from the May meeting which was a provider social.
Nominations for the 2003-2004 Executive Board and committee chair persons will be made at the August meeting. The slate of officers shall be voted on at the October meeting.
Sigrid announced there will be a charge of $10.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members for training provided in August, September and October to offset cost of next year's training. Suggestings for the 2003-2004 training calendar must be submitted no later than the September meeting.
There will be no general meeting in July, but an informal social has been suggested for July 8 at 7:00 p.m.
A candy bar fund raiser was approved for August and September to raise money toward a holiday dinner in November.
The NAFCC conference will be held July 27-28 in Buffalo, New York. Sigrid will be attending and she has been asked to bring a donation of specialties from Georgia. Please contact her if you are able to assist.
Sigrid reminded us that DHR urges us not to use dry kidney beans in children's toys or craft projects since they are highly toxic. Also, fences around the children's play area should be at least four feet high and in good repair.
The August 12th meeting will be a 2 hour DHR approved training on "Getting Ready To Read" presented by Melissa Davis.
