the minutes of the September 9th general meeting were approved as read. The minutes of the September
23rd board meeting were read.
The nominations for the CPCCA officers were presented and unanimously approved. The following officers were elected to the 2004-2005 Board:
President - Sigrid Ivanovic
Vice President - Sharon Ervin
Treasurer - Christine Ellsworth
Recording Secretary - Laurie Sheehan
Committee chairpersons are appointed by the Board. Currently all positions are filled except chairperson for fundraising and donations. Additional help is needed on many committees.
Christine Ellsworth distributed copies of the 2003 and proposed 2004 budgets.
Due to lack of funding, it was moved that program coordinator Sigrid Ivanovic shall be authorized to schedule six (6) DHR approved training classes (indcluding the no-cost training on Taxes and Record Keeping by Stewart Carlin) for 20034. If possible Sigrid will schedule three of these classes in the spring and the other three in the fall. Sigrid further will provide to the Board a proposed schedule for all meetings at the January general meeting. The motion was seconded and passed.
The Pumpkin Patch Field Trip is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on October 21, 2003. For further information call Erin or Sigrid.
Membership dues of $50.00 for 2004 must be paid by December 31, 2003 to remain an active member.
Flyers regarding the Christmas party were not available for distribution. They will be mailed out before the end of October. We need responses regarding planned attendance by the November meeting.
The November 11th meeting will be a "Sensational Salad Supper" at the church.
The business meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
Maria Abercrombie presented a two hour DHR approved training session on "Infectious Disease Control".
