The minutes of the August meeting were approved as read.
There will be a called Board meeting on Tuesday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m. to finalize the slate of candidates for the 2004 Board. Plans for the Christmas party for Cobb Foster Care Association also will be discussed at this meeting.
Sigrid is still accepting suggestions for 2004 training topics. She will begin scheduling in October. Sharon Ervis proposed the following topics: simple accounting, an open forum with DHR and DFACS, maintaining yourself, and recruiting of officers.
Sigrid announced the conferences of the Georgia Association of the Young Child, October 8-11, 2003 and Quality Care for Children, April 29 - May 2, 2004.
October is Fire Safety Month. Sigrid again offered to take fire extinguishers to have them servided.
There are still some seats available for the field trip to Berry Patch Farm on October 21, 2003. Call Sigrid for information.
All upcoming events and training are posted on the web site. Providers are urged to check the seb site and their E-mail frequently, especially before association meetings.
The business meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. Maria Abercrombie presented a 2-hour DHR training session on the subject of "Parent Conferences". The October 14th training will be a 2-hour DHR approved training on "Infectious Disease Control' presented by Ms. Abercrombie.
