| The meeting was called to order by president Sigrid Ivanovic at 7:00 p.m. The minutes of the June meeting were read and approved. There was no meeting in July as the association met for dinner. Sigrid reminded all providers they may drop off fire extinguishers at her car immediately after the meeting and she will have them serviced. Nominations forms for the 2003-2004 Executive Board and committee chair persons were distributed. Please return all nominations by the September meeting. Voting will take place at the October meeting. Requests for specific training must be submitted by the September meeting. We hope to be able to provide ten DHR approved training hours free of charge between January and June, 2004. Additional training would be on a pay-per-class basis. Sigrid announced she has arranged a field trip to Berry Patch Pumpkin Farm at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, for a total of sixty (60) persons. Activities include a hayride, apple cider, a gourd pumpkin and a coloring page. The cost is $4.50 per person 0 one teacher and helper free, per day care home. Reservations and prepayment are due by the September meeting. The association is planning a holiday dinner instead of the regular meeting on the night of November 11, 2003. Sigrid reminded providers she is available to provide substitute care. Erin Driscoll offered several used cots with new covers for sale at $10 each. Unique Clay reminded providers that her husband will schedule CPR/First Aid and fire safety classes at our convenience. Unique has obtained full accreditation. Congratulations, Unique!
